Over the past 17 years, Allan has completed over 200 crawlspace encapsulations, providing a consistently dry and healthy state of being to the homes. A crawlspace encapsulation is the technique of sealing the typical vented crawlspace, installing a vapor barrier, and installing a dehumidifier in order to maintain a consistent humidity level at 50%. At this humidity level, mold will not flourish and hardwood floors will not buckle.
Maintenance of the system is crucial to keeping the house protected from the ravaging effects of out of control moisture. To this day, Allan provides the maintenance associated with his customers since 2007 and is fully committed to continue this service on into the future.
In 2021, Allan learned about a disinfectant known as Chlorine Dioxide. Chlorine Dioxide is an all-natural, chemical-free disinfectant that is safe and effective at eliminating odors. Although Allan is still active in the crawlspace business, he has now turned his focus in the direction of odor removal and sanitization in general. Allan will be using Chlorine Dioxide along with his techniques of application exclusively.
Chlorine Dioxide is approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
